Plagiarism, Credibility Issues for MSU Study
A recent Michigan State University study about school consolidation should be ignored both because of plagiarism issues and because its methodology is flawed, according to an Op-Ed by Education Policy Director Michael Van Beek in Sunday's Lansing State Journal.
Michigan Capitol Confidential reports that the author of a 2001 Syracuse University study on school consolidation, on which the MSU study is modeled, says that "his work was misapplied" and that he does not "endorse MSU's findings."
